Milla's Model-ography

Milla started her career as a model. In 1989, at age 11, Richard Avedon chose her as one of Revlon's "Most Unforgettable Women in the World" (left). This quickly put Milla in the international spotlight as a model. There was controversy because the girls chosen were so young. People said "these girls are too young to be models!"

Milla's first cover was for the October 1987 edition of the Italian magazine Lei (right). She has since then been on many, many more magazine covers and walked dozens of fashion show catwalks. She's always maintained that she doesn't really like modeling, but that she's just in it for the money. Milla's modeling pays extremely well and gives her the freedom to do whatever she wants, whether it be acting, singing, modeling, or whatever else she might want to try.
